MANAJEMEN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DI PONDOK PESANTREN YAPIDH KOTA BEKASI

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the managerial of pesantren in producing outputs that have noble character and achievement. Pesantren managed with a modern system based on Islamic character can produce pesantren that is quite rapid and produces the expected quality of student output. Various strategic and innovative policies can be implemented in Islamic boarding schools, including changing the formal education system from MI MTS and MA to TKIT, SDIT SMPIT and SMAIT, in accordance with the demands of urban society today, namely Islamic teachings that reject taqlid, modernist Islamic understanding, focusing on mastering foreign languages (Arabic and English), mastering computers and ICT and memorizing the Qur'an / tahfidz). This research uses a qualitative approach with case study methods and literature. The primary sources used in this study used data related to the Darul Hikmah Modern Islamic Boarding School, documents, writings related to Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. The data collection techniques in this study were field observations, interviews with the Public Relations Division of the Darul Hikmah Foundation and several teachers and leaders of the Darul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School in Bekasi City.
