MODEL MANAJEMEN PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER SISWA MA MA’ARIF ROUDLOTUT THOLIBIN

Abstract

Building character among students is a crucial aspect of education, especially amid the challenges of globalisation that tend to erode moral values. Islamic-based educational institutions, such as madrasahs, play a strategic role in instilling Islamic values in students' personalities. This study aims to explore how the Islamic education management model shapes student character at MA Ma`Arif Roudlotut Tholibin. The research employed a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that Islamic education management is implemented through the integration of Islamic curriculum, exemplary leadership by teachers and the principal, habituation of religious activities, and strong collaboration between school and parents. Islamic-orientated extracurricular activities also contribute to shaping students' character, making them more religious, disciplined, and responsible. The study concludes that a holistic, structured, and collaborative Islamic education management model is effective in developing student character and can serve as a reference for character education development in other madrasahs.
